England Senegal prediction 2025-06-10

England vs Senegal prediction: WORLD: Friendly International betting tips on match 2025-06-09 18:45.
[p]Although England got the job done with a 1-0 win against Andorra on Saturday to maintain their perfect start to their World Cup qualifying campaign (W3), manager Thomas Tuchel cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines. He’ll hope for a better showing in this friendly encounter with Senegal as he looks to make the most of this opportunity to tinker with his starting XI without any real consequences.[/p]

[p]The Three Lions round off this latest international break with a first match at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground since 1941 when they beat Wales 4-1, also winning 2-0 against the same opponents here in 1909. While another clean sheet would be welcomed with England yet to concede a goal under Tuchel, England’s recent record in friendlies is hardly inspiring as they’ve only won one of their last four (D1, L2), beating Bosnia 3-0 last summer.[/p]

[p]That could give Senegal some hope of another decent result in the British Isles having drawn 1-1 with Republic of Ireland on Friday evening to stretch their unbeaten run to 15 matches (W10, D5). They had won their four prior friendlies, although all of those were against fellow African nations, so their trip to the East Midlands will offer a very different sort of challenge.[/p]

[p]Senegal lost the only previous H2H 3-0 during the 2022 World Cup, but since that defeat the Lions of Teranga have only lost one game on foreign soil, and even that was to Ivory Coast on penalties in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (W12, D5). That run includes a 4-2 win over #5-ranked Brazil in Portugal, so they won’t fear taking on an England side ranked fourth by FIFA.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White is in familiar territory here and registered nine Premier League goal contributions on this ground in the 24/25 campaign (G2, A7). Ismaïla Sarr scored Senegal’s late equaliser against Ireland and now has three goal contributions in his last three appearances for club or country (G2, A1), with all three of those games seeing both sides get on the scoresheet.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: England have scored 11 goals in their last four fixtures (W4) – nine of them arrived on or beyond the 50th minute.[/p]
