Everton Brighton prediction 2023-11-04

Everton vs Brighton prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-11-03 15:00.
Everton manager Sean Dyche claimed there wasn’t much wrong with his side’s performances earlier in the season, even though they started the campaign with just one point from their opening five Premier League (PL) matches. Yet, three wins from their last five league outings (L2), plus victories in cup action during that period too, looks to be justifying his early season comments.

Dyche will now surely want to see his side build on this growing league momentum and there’s no better way to do that than securing two successive PL wins for the first time in over a year. Coincidentally, on the last occasion they achieved that feat, they beat West Ham in the first of the two matches, a side they also defeated 1-0 last Sunday. Despite that good omen, Brighton’s two wins in their last two league visits to Goodison Park could potentially give the visitors the psychological edge.

Especially as in their last visit to the blue half of Merseyside back in January, Brighton blew Everton away 4-1. But then they did suffer a 5-1 defeat against them on their own patch in May, meaning H2H history could count for very little coming into this contest. Instead, the form of the sides could be key, and Brighton’s is uncharacteristically off. The Seagulls are without a win in four PL matches (D2, L2), their longest winless streak under manager Roberto De Zerbi since his first five league games in charge.

Two defeats on the road in that time against Aston Villa and Manchester City means the visitors are staring down the barrel of three successive league losses for the first time since May 2021. Goals are continuing to flow, as the 1-1 draw with Fulham last time out meant both teams have scored in each of their opening ten PL games, so don’t be surprised to see another ding-dong contest here.

Players to watch: Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin hit the milestone of 50 PL goals in Sunday’s win, and will hope to add to that having netted on three occasions against Brighton previously. Brighton prodigy Evan Ferguson has scored ten PL goals in 2023, the most by a teenager in a single calendar year since Wayne Rooney in 2005 (11). His first in that run came at Goodison Park.

Hot streak: Everton’s last seven PL home wins have been accompanied by a clean sheet.
