Everton Fulham prediction 2023-04-15

Everton vs Fulham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-04-14 14:00.
Everton have only suffered defeat in one of their last five Premier League (PL) matches (W1, D3), although that came last time out at Old Trafford against Manchester United (2-0). Given the quality of the opposition, few would perceive that as a morale-damaging defeat for the Toffees. However, results elsewhere over the Easter weekend meant Sean Dyche’s side finished the round outside of the relegation zone on goal difference alone.

With just eight rounds of the PL season left, there’s very little margin for error if Everton are to avoid their first relegation since 1951, thus making the clash here against Fulham crucial. Dyche has previously spoken about the Merseyside club using the Goodison atmosphere to their “advantage”, and avoiding defeat in four of their last five PL matches here would affirm they’ve done that (W3, D1). A home record of 22 wins from the last 23 top-flight matches against Fulham would also hint they can extend that strong Goodison form further.

Fulham’s one win in that streak did come on their last visit back in February 2021. At the time, they were battling relegation while the hosts were chasing continental football. Those roles have dramatically switched since, but the Cottagers’ European hopes are close to being all but dead in the water after a rotten run of five straight competitive defeats left them tenth at the end of the last round, eight points short of the top-six.

Marco Silva recently declared his team were still working hard and chasing the “standards” needed to collect points again. He will have extra motivation to stop their rot here against his former employers who relieved him of his duties back in December 2019. On either side of his stint in charge of the Toffees, Silva remains winless in personal H2H battles (D1, L2) – conceding 3+ goals in both away matches.

Players to watch: Defender Michael Keane scored a late screamer last time here to rescue a point for Everton – six of his last seven PL goals have been at Goodison Park. Suspended forward Aleksandar Mitrović remains a big miss for Fulham, but Andreas Pereira boasts the most goals + assists (nine) behind the Serbian and netted in his most recent PL away game.

Hot streak: Everton have failed to score more than a single goal in any of their last nine PL home matches.
