Everton Leicester prediction 2025-02-01

Everton vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-01-31 15:00.
[p]David Moyes has brought a new lease of life to Everton, with a slender 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in his first game followed by wins against Tottenham Hotspur (3-2) and then at Brighton & Hove Albion (1-0) last weekend, helping the Toffees climb seven points clear of the drop zone and easing fears of potential relegation.[/p]

[p]That was the first time that Everton had won back-to-back matches this season, meaning they now have the opportunity to win three games on the bounce for the first time since last April. And with just one of their last eight Premier League meetings with Leicester City ending in defeat (W3, D4), the Merseysiders will surely arrive at Goodison Park in a confident mood for this one.  [/p]

[p]Leicester will, however, see this as a big chance to pull Everton back into the relegation battle, or risk being cut adrift themselves. They start the upcoming round of fixtures one place but six points behind their hosts, although crucially, their win last weekend against Spurs – one that ended a run of seven straight league losses – did help them climb out of the bottom three by a single point. [/p]

[p]The Foxes would have preferred to face the challenge back at the King Power Stadium though, given the issues they’ve faced away from home this season. The three points won at Spurs last Sunday were their first secured on the road since a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town way back in early November, and there’s only one side (Southampton) who have picked up fewer Premier League points on their travels this term than the East Midlanders.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: All five of Iliman Ndiaye’s league goals for Everton have been scored in the first half of games – including his first for the Blues against Leicester in September. The Foxes’ Jamie Vardy is bidding to become just the fourth player in Premier League history to find the net in consecutive appearances while aged 38 or older.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Leicester have not won successive away matches in the top flight since November 2022 (three games in a row), which included a 2-0 win at Goodison Park.[/p]
