Everton West Ham prediction 2024-03-02

Everton vs West Ham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-03-01 15:00.
[p]It’s been another week dominated by off-the-field news for Everton, who jumped up to 15th and five points clear of the Premier League relegation zone on Monday without kicking a ball after their ten-point deduction for breaching PSR rules was reduced to six following an appeal. That was a timely boost for the Toffees who will now look to end a troubling run of no league win in nine matches (D5, L4) when West Ham come to town.  [/p]

[p]They were minutes away from ending that run last time out at Brighton, but conceded an equaliser deep into second-half stoppage time (1-1). Yet, four draws from their past five in the league does suggest that the elusive win is getting closer, and securing it here would see Everton do a league double over the Hammers for the first time since the 2014/15 season. [/p]

[p]West Ham started the week winless in six league games (D3, L3), but they alleviated some of the pressure on their manager David Moyes by blowing Brentford away with an impressive 4-2 home win on Monday night, powered by a hat-trick from Jarrod Bowen. Incredibly, the Hammers actually scored more goals in the victory over the Bees than they had combined in the six league fixtures prior to that (three). [/p]

[p]Back into the top-eight and with his attack seemingly close to firing on all cylinders, Moyes should head to his old stomping ground in a confident mood. His side’s recent defensive showings should remain a concern though, with the London outfit conceding two or more goals in four straight games, although they haven’t conceded more than a single goal in any of their past three league visits to Goodison Park (W2, L1). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal drought is now 20 games long, with his last strike being the winner in the reverse fixture in October (1-0) – he’s also scored more competitive Everton goals against West Ham than any other side (six). Bowen’s treble on Monday night took him to 14 league goals this season – only two players have scored more in a single Premier League campaign for West Ham – Paolo Di Canio (16, 1999/00) and John Hartson (15, 1997,98).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Everton matches averaged a Premier League low 2.38 goals this season.[/p]
