Faroe Islands Armenia prediction 2024-10-10

Faroe Islands vs Armenia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-10-09 18:45.
[p]Faroe Islands (FIFA rank: #140) began their 2024/25 UEFA Nations League (UNL) campaign by drawing 1-1 with North Macedonia, but followed it up by losing 1-0 to Latvia, leaving them bottom of Group C4. That opening-round draw is the only time they’ve avoided defeat in their last five matches, suggesting that they’re up against it as they host better-ranked Armenia (FIFA rank: #96) for the first time.[/p]

[p]But if the Faroes are to return to form soon rather than later, then they are most likely to do so at their home in Tórshavn, where they’ve lost only two fixtures (W5, D3), a run which included important 2-1 victories over Turkey and Lithuania during the previous campaign to help keep them in League C. They’ve also never scored on their own patch in the UNL and gone on to suffer defeat, so there might be some relief if they net again.[/p]

[p]After losing the final five games of their previous UNL campaign to suffer relegation from League B, Armenia started this cycle with a thumping 4-1 win over Latvia, only to then lose 2-0 to North Macedonia. They’re still in contention for promotion though, and looking further ahead, movement either way wouldn’t be a shock as they’ve never stayed in the same league for consecutive UNL campaigns![/p]

[p]Finding any sort of stability away from home has been a struggle for Armenia, as they’ve lost each of their last six matches on foreign soil, the last three of which have seen them concede exactly twice. And as they’ve only ever won two UNL games on the road (D2, L6), they’ll be expecting a tough challenge as they head north.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Petur Knudsen has registered four goal contributions across as many appearances for NSÍ Runavik since the Faroes were last in action (G2, A2), with both goals in that run arriving between the 60th and 80th minutes. Armenia’s creative spark could be Edgar Sevikyan, who has assisted three times across his last five matches for Lokomotiv Moscow.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Five of the Faroes’ last six UNL home games have seen goals scored in just one half.[/p]
