FC Copenhagen Chelsea prediction 2025-03-06

FC Copenhagen vs Chelsea prediction: EUROPE: Conference League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-03-05 17:45.
[p]The Round of 16 stage of this season’s UEFA Conference League begins with an intriguing first leg clash between Copenhagen and Chelsea, two of the strongest sides left in this season’s competition. This will be the fifth time that the pair have met in European competition overall, incidentally with each prior matchup also coming at the last 16 stage of tournaments, with the English side progressing from both the 1998/99 Cup Winners’ Cup and the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League showdowns.[/p]

[p]The Danish hosts will be hoping that they can avoid a ‘three-peat’ of sorts and get themselves off to a winning start here at Parken. A return of just one loss across their last nine competitive outings at this venue should give them hope of causing an upset (W6, D2), though that sole defeat did come at the hands of Heidenheim in this very competition! [/p]

[p]Chelsea will arrive in the Danish capital with plenty left to prove this season, as outside of their impressive showing in the Conference League, the Blues continue to struggle for consistency overall. A 4-0 Premier League victory over Southampton in their last outing should have raised spirits at least, as that result against the Saints ended their losing run at three matches. [/p]

[p]As hinted at before, Chelsea have easily been the best performing side in this competition so far this season, qualifying for this stage after acting as the only side to record six wins from six in the league phase. That was helped in particular by their potency in front of goal, underlined by the team netting 26 goals across those six matches – which was at least eight more than any other side! [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Copenhagen’s Kevin Diks has ten goals to his name across all competitions this season, each of which were scored from the penalty spot! Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku has saved his best form for this competition this season, contributing to eight goals across his five appearances in the Conference League overall (G5, A3).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: No side has picked up fewer yellow cards than Chelsea in the Conference League so far this season (seven).[/p]
