Ferencvaros (Hun) Midtjylland (Den) prediction 2024-08-13

Ferencvaros (Hun) vs Midtjylland (Den) prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Qualification betting tips on match 2024-08-12 18:00.
[p]Both FerencvĂĄros and Midtjylland are looking to make their first UEFA Champions League (UCL) group/league stage appearance since 2020/21, but it will be the Hungarians who have to overturn a 2-0 defeat in the first leg. That was their only competitive loss of this season (W4) and just the second time across their last 19 European games that the Greens conceded multiple goals, so all is not lost yet.[/p]

[p]One of those four wins came in the home leg of the previous UCL round (5-0 vs The New Saints) where they scored three goals within the first half-hour. Another quick start here will give hope to home fans, especially as FerencvĂĄros had lost their three UCL home games before that victory, each time conceding 2+ goals.[/p]

[p]Midtjylland backed up their first leg performance by winning 2-0 in the Denmark Superliga fixture at the weekend, making it a third consecutive win via the same scoreline. It was also their fourth clean sheet in a row and the Wolves have been equally impressive in Europe, with three consecutive UCL wins. Each of those wins have come ‘to nil’, and extending that shutout record will be enough to progress to the next round.[/p]

[p]The visitors enter this contest as outsiders but are unbeaten in five away trips (W2, D3) stretching back to last season. The last four of those matches saw the opening match goal scored before the 15th minute, so early action could be on the cards once again.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Adama TraorĂ© could deliver that early opener, recording a 15th minute goal as part of a hat-trick in their last UCL home game. Looking to halt TraorĂ© could be Midtjylland goalkeeper ElĂas Rafn Ólafsson, who has made at least two saves in each of their last three wins ‘to nil’.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: All but two of Ferencváros’ last 12 home UCL games produced over 2.5 total goals.[/p]
