Finland U21 Ukraine U21 prediction 2025-06-15

Finland U21 vs Ukraine U21 prediction: EUROPE: Euro U21 betting tips on match 2025-06-14 16:00.
[p]After qualifying for the UEFA European U21 Championship for just the second time in their history, Finland picked up their first-ever point at the tournament with a 2-2 draw against Netherlands in Košice. That achievement may be overshadowed though by the fact that they were 2-0 up after 28 minutes and looked set to record a famous win, only to let in two second-half goals, including a 93rd-minute equaliser.[/p]

[p]The Little Eagle-Owls have now conceded exactly twice in all four of their U21 Euros finals matches and will return to the Košická futbalová aréna on Sunday to take on Ukraine with only one clean sheet across their last seven fixtures (W3, D2, L2). Scoring goals by contrast has not been an issue for Mika Lehkosuo’s side, as they have found the net at least once in each of their last ten games.[/p]

[p]Ukraine are also strong in attack, having scored in 16 of their last 17 matches (W10, D3, L4), and like their opponents here, they were ahead in their opening game of the competition on Thursday but could not hold on. Unai Melgosa’s team led Denmark 1-0 at half-time and 2-1 going into the final ten minutes of normal time, but still ended up on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline.[/p]

[p]After reaching the semi-finals of the 2023 edition of the tournament, defeat will see Ukraine eliminated by the end of their upcoming match, so there will be plenty of pressure on a side who have won just one of their last eight encounters (D3, L4). They did beat Finland 2-0 in Helsinki when the countries last met in September 2020 though, and a repeat scoreline would put them back in the mix for a top-two finish in Group D.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Casper Terho scored four goals during the qualifiers for this tournament and opened the scoring on Thursday against the Netherlands, but Finland have won only one of the last four games in which he has found the net. Oleg Ocheretko is another player who impressed during the qualifying campaign (G2, A3) and he continued that form by assisting both Ukraine goals against Denmark.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Ukraine have only kept one clean sheet in their last ten matches.[/p]
