Fiorentina Lecce prediction 2025-02-28

Fiorentina vs Lecce prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-02-27 19:45.
[p]A 1-0 defeat against struggling Hellas Verona last time out handed Fiorentina a third successive loss and further dented their top-six ambitions. Not only did that contest see La Viola fail to score in back-to-back Serie A matches for the first time this season, but they also lost their top-scorer Moise Kean who took a knock to the head and collapsed on the pitch. Thankfully the forward has since been discharged from hospital. [/p]

[p]The arrival of Lecce should give Fiorentina some confidence after last week’s disappointment given they won the reverse fixture 6-0, although that was actually their only victory in six league matches against current bottom-five sides (D4, L1). Stadio Artemio Franchi hasn’t exactly been a fortress lately either with Fiorentina losing three of their last six home league matches (W2, D1), including a surprise defeat to Como last time out here.[/p]

[p]Lecce, the league’s lowest scorers (G18), suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Udinese in the last round which marked their third consecutive match without finding the net. Despite their attacking woes this season, the visitors have managed to secure the results needed to come into this matchday outside of the relegation places, albeit their cushion has shrunk to just four points pre-round. [/p]

[p]Extending that here looks a tall order based on the away side’s record against sides starting this round in the top ten, with Lecce losing 11 of their 13 league matches against such teams (D2), scoring just three times across these outings! They could potentially give themselves a platform to improve that run here though, as nine of their 13 away league games this term stood level at half-time. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Eight of the last nine competitive matches in which Lucas Beltrán found the net saw both teams score, with the only exception being the reverse fixture (6-0). Scoring twice in Lecce’s last away victory against Parma (3-1), Santiago Pierotti netted three of his four Serie A goals this season beyond the hour mark.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Fiorentina remain the only Serie A team yet to concede in the opening 15 minutes.[/p]
