Freiburg Darmstadt prediction 2023-11-25

Freiburg vs Darmstadt prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-11-24 14:30.
Freiburg might have welcomed the international break as a chance to regroup and allow some of their injured players recovery time following one win in their last five Bundesliga matches (D1, L3). Battling in Europe and the league has taken its toll in terms of results but also thrown up some frantic beginnings to their matches with three of their past four in all competitions producing goals inside the first ten minutes (W1, D1, L2).

More early action going the way of the home side at Europa-Park Stadion could help extend Freiburg’s solid record of just one defeat from their last six Bundesliga home fixtures (W4, D1), where they scored at least twice in the most recent four. And when the Breisgau Brazilians do get ahead, they tend to hold on, as they’re undefeated in each of the last 14 home league games in which they scored first (W11, D3).

That should put Darmstadt on high alert, as they haven’t scored first in any of their last four Bundesliga matches, although their 0-0 draw against Mainz did end a run of three straight league defeats. They secured that point without manager Torsten Lieberknecht who was absent for family reasons, but he’s expected to be back this week which should give the team a timely boost as they start the round just above the bottom three.

This will be the Lilies' first league away fixture since a thumping 8-0 defeat at Bayern Munich almost a month ago. Their last H2H away victory came way back in March 1991 (D1, L2 since), but Darmstadt fans might take some comfort by knowing that three of their last four Bundesliga road victories came in cities ending in ‘burg’ – Hamburg twice and Augsburg!

Players to watch: Merlin Röhl will be looking to conjure something up for Freiburg after five goal contributions (G3, A2) across his last five appearances for club and country, including Freiburg’s opener in each of their last two competitive games. Fabian NĂŒrnberger has been heavily involved for Darmstadt recently, scoring once and picking up two bookings across their last four fixtures.

Hot stat: Both teams scored in 64% of Freiburg and Darmstadt’s combined league games this term.
