Freiburg Stuttgart prediction 2025-09-13

Freiburg vs Stuttgart prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-09-12 13:30.
[p]After a miserable start to the Bundesliga campaign, Freiburg return from the international break looking for their first point of the season against Stuttgart, in what is both sides’ penultimate game before they enter the UEFA Europa League.[/p]

[p]Match News and Current Form[/p]

[p]Freiburg spent the international break at the foot of the Bundesliga table after two bruising defeats to open the campaign, most recently being thumped 4-1 away at newly-promoted Cologne. Boss Julian Schuster described that result as a “real wake-up call” and it leaves them at risk of losing their opening three league matches of a season for the first time since 1995/96. Freiburg at least have home advantage here, but they’ve emerged victorious from just one of their last seven Bundesliga games at Europa-Park Stadion (D2, L4) despite getting on the scoresheet in each of their last six such matches.[/p]

[p]Small margins have defined Stuttgart’s season so far, with their four matches across three competitions decided by no more than a one-goal margin (W2, L2). Sebastian Hoeneß’ men have encouragingly won their last two, but their sole Bundesliga loss did come on the road on the opening weekend against Union Berlin (2-1). Stuttgart will certainly fancy their chances of bouncing back given that they last suffered back-to-back away defeats in the league in January 2024.[/p]

[p]Head-to-Head History[/p]

[p]Stuttgart have assumed control of this fixture in recent times, winning three of the last four meetings by a 2+ goal margin (L1). Their success has been limited on their travels however, as Freiburg have won four of the last five H2Hs they’ve hosted (L1). [/p]

[p]Hot Stats and Streaks[/p]

[p]Freiburg have had exactly five corners in both of their Bundesliga games this season.[/p]

[p]Ten of Freiburg’s last 11 Bundesliga matches saw both teams score.[/p]

[p]Four of Stuttgart’s last five Bundesliga away games produced over 2.5 goals.[/p]

[p]Eight of Stuttgart’s last ten Bundesliga goals were scored after half-time.[/p]

[p]Key Players to Watch and Missing Players[/p]

[p]Lukas KĂĽbler has scored a career-high three goals against Stuttgart, with all those strikes coming across the last two H2Hs Freiburg have hosted. Jamie Leweling impressed for Germany in the international break, and is primed to continue that form here having assisted in both H2Hs last season.[/p]

[p]Freiburg could welcome Jan-Niklas Beste and Patrick Osterhage back from injury here, with both featuring in a friendly against Luzern during the international break. Stuttgart lost Deniz Undav to a knee injury in their victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach before the international break.[/p]

[p]Betting Analysis[/p]

[p]Goals certainly appear to be on the menu here, so backing both teams to score looks likely to return profit.[/p]
