Frosinone AC Milan prediction 2024-02-03

Frosinone vs AC Milan prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-02-02 17:00.
Frosinone (W1, D1) are showing improved form after a horror run of five consecutive Serie A defeats either side of Christmas had them looking over their shoulders at the relegation zone. They’re anything but safe and have been busy in the transfer market bringing in players mostly on loan, and given that it was three Juventus loanees combining to score against Verona (D 1-1), it’s a strategy that’s already worked well.

They could use a decent start as they conceded first in each of their last three home league games (W1, L2), although coming back to beat Cagliari 3-1 here in their last such fixture was an impressive response. Although they did open the scoring in their first-ever clash with AC Milan (L 4-2 in December 2015), the Canarini remain winless against the 19-time Italian champions in all H2Hs (D2, L3).

While Milan fans will expect three points given that unbeaten H2H record, they did concede first against Bologna (D 2-2) as they lost ground on leaders and rivals Inter Milan, who they now trail by eight points having played a game more. The more the gap grows, so too will speculation and recent reports have suggested Antonio Conte will replace manager Stefano Pioli at the end of the season.

With Ismaël Bennacer potentially available to boost Pioli’s midfield following Algeria’s early AFCON exit, the Rossoneri may be confident of maintaining the form which has seen them lose just one of their last eight league away fixtures (W4, D3). As they’ve scored at least twice in each of the last six of those, they’ll present a strong attacking threat as they head south.

Players to watch: Kaio Jorge has netted after the 55th minute in both of Frosinone’s last two games. After scoring a brace against Bologna, Milan’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek has now scored three of his last four goals before half-time.

Hot stat: Ahead of the round, Frosinone had conceded a league-high 14 Serie A goals in the opening half-hour this term.
