Frosinone Lazio prediction 2024-03-16

Frosinone vs Lazio prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-03-15 19:45.
[p]For the first time this Serie A season, Frosinone will start a matchday in the relegation zone, albeit only one point behind safety. It’s a reflection of how their form has dwindled in recent weeks, with only six league points collected since the start of December (W1, D3, L11). Their struggles at the back continue unabated, as the Canaries have the second-worst defensive league record at this stage, conceding an average of just over two goals per game.[/p]

[p]Playing at home looks to be far more comfortable for Eusebio Di Francesco’s men, who have earned all but three of their 24 league points this season at the Stadio Benito Stirpe. Those numbers mask the fact that the hosts have lost four of their last six home league games (W1, D1), although three defeats came against current top-five sides.[/p]

[p]The only solace is that they face Lazio, a side that’s in turmoil after manager Maurizio Sarri resigned following their fifth defeat in six competitive matches (W1), which included getting knocked out of the Champions League. Assistant manager Giovanni Martusciello has been installed as the man to salvage their season, but sitting a worrying seven points adrift of the league’s top six, last season’s second-place finish (their best since 1999/2000) is already looking like a distant memory. [/p]

[p]They could hardly have chosen a better fixture to rebound, as Lazio have never lost a competitive match to Frosinone (W4, D1) and have conceded just one goal, which was in the reverse fixture (3-1) this season. Despite their overall struggles, the Biancocelesti have travelled well recently, with four wins across six league trips (L2). Three of those victories saw them score before the 30th minute, and another early goal could ease any new manager nerves.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Matías Soulé had the distinction of scoring Frosinone’s only goal against Lazio, which came in the reverse fixture, and has followed it up with three league goals at home. Luis Alberto missed the reverse fixture due to an injury, but contributed to both Lazio goals (G1, A1) in their two 1-0 H2H wins last season.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Four of the five top-flight H2Hs were goalless at the half-time break.[/p]
