Fulham Manchester City prediction 2025-05-25

Fulham vs Manchester City prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-05-24 15:00.
[p]Fulham’s hopes of qualifying for Europe are over for this season following Brighton’s 3-2 win over Liverpool on Monday. That comes in spite of breaking their all-time Premier League points tally for a single campaign after beating London rivals Brentford last weekend, but the Cottagers can still sign off for the season on a high note by securing back-to-back league victories for the first time since mid-February when Manchester City visit Craven Cottage.[/p]

[p]Rather ominously for Fulham, they have lost their last 17 matches against City in all competitions, conceding an eye-watering 52 goals in the process. Fulham’s last Premier League victory against City came way back in April 2009 when Roy Hodgson was in charge, and for current boss Marco Silva to end that hoodoo, he’ll have to beat a Pep Guardiola-managed side for the first time in his career (L14).[/p]

[p]While City’s season has certainly not gone to plan, a comfortable 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Tuesday leaves them on the brink of securing UEFA Champions League football for the 15th successive campaign. A point here will realistically be enough to stamp City’s ticket to next season’s Champions League, but having won their final Premier League game in nine of the last 11 seasons (D1, L1), they’ll be keen to sign off in style once again.[/p]

[p]It certainly hasn’t been the kind of title defence City would’ve hoped for, and barring a miracle set of results on the final day, Guardiola will finish outside of the top two for just the second time in 16 seasons as a top-flight manager. To have any chance of finishing second this season, City will need a handsome win coupled with a hefty Arsenal defeat, and City did at least win 4-0 on this ground last season. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: After ten years at Fulham, Tom Cairney may play his final game for them on Sunday – his equaliser at Brentford last weekend was his fifth successive club goal to arrive after half-time. Kevin De Bruyne departs Man City after a decade’s service too, but to sign off on a high note he’ll have to net his first away league goal of the season. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: None of Fulham’s last nine matches have been goalless at half-time. [/p]
