Fulham Manchester Utd prediction 2023-11-04

Fulham vs Manchester Utd prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-11-03 12:30.
Fulham boss Marco Silva celebrated his contract extension with a creditable 1-1 draw away at Brighton, but he’ll be desperate for his side to find some winning consistency with each of their games this Premier League season producing a different result to the previous one! That includes one win from the last five (D2, L2), but they do still remain closer to the top seven than the bottom three by way of points.

Scoring goals has been the primary source of their PL troubles, with their total of just nine goals amongst the worst in the league. Replacing Aleksandar Mitrović has proven to be as difficult as was expected, but despite that Fulham have remained tough for lower ranked visitors to beat at Craven Cottage. Five of their last seven PL defeats on home soil were to sides from the traditional ‘big six’, which most notably includes a 2-1 reverse against upcoming opponents Manchester United last season.

If United can deepen Fulham’s woes, it would be a much needed reprieve for under-fire manager Erik ten Hag, who insisted his side are “on the way up” despite a 3-0 Manchester derby mauling at the hands of their crosstown rivals which made it five losses from their opening ten league fixtures this season (W5). Turmoil appears to always be only one loss away at Old Trafford, and another 3-0 loss against Newcastle on their way out of the Carabao Cup in midweek only added to the ever-darkening cloud hanging over the club.

They have at least managed to win both of their last two PL away matches, but are without three in succession since December 2020. A dominant H2H record over Fulham in recent years must inspire hope they can collect a third, as it has been almost 14 years since United lost a H2H against the Cottagers (W14, D3). That includes six wins from six trips to Craven Cottage, so a visit to West London might be just the tonic Ten Hag’s beleaguered squad need.

Players to watch: Fulham winger Willian was at the forefront of the Cottagers’ three meetings with United last season, registering an assist and receiving a red card. Man Utd’s misfiring forward line may draw on Alejandro Garnacho for inspiration after he scored a 93rd-minute winner in last season’s corresponding fixture.

Hot stat: Both sides have led just one of their ten PL matches at half-time this season, with their respective first-half records (W1, D4, L5) tied for the worst in the division along with Luton.
