G.A. Eagles Vitesse prediction 2023-11-04

G.A. Eagles vs Vitesse prediction: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie betting tips on match 2023-11-04 20:00.
The venues of Go Ahead Eagles and Vitesse Arnhem are less than 50kms apart “as the crow flies” and one can be on the sidewalk of De Adelaarshorst within 40 minutes via the A50, but this clash between neighbours is far from being called a derby. Both clubs, each with more than one century of tradition, have taken a completely different turn in Dutch football history.

Go Ahead still plays in a stadium in the middle of a working class district that holds less than 10,000 spectators, with the light towers holding a cultural heritage status. The club is one of the most financially healthy in the Eredivisie and settles for a place near the middle of the rankings. This season has so far exceeded all expectations for the team of manager RenĂ© Hake, who claimed 15 points from their ten matches – 13 at their home base of De Adelaarshorst (W4, D1, L0).

Arnhem’s multipurpose headquarters is located well away from the city centre in an otherwise very accessible location for outside visitors. Conversely, this club is in the hands of private investment and is facing many financial challenges such as an exorbitant rental contract with strict conditions. They have recently been taken over by an American group that also owns Leyton Orient as well as some other football assets.

There has also been misery on the pitch for the men in yellow and black. Since an opening round triumph at Volendam, they have tasted victory just once since (D2, L6) and are languishing near the bottom of the table, with their only two wins coming against fellow bottom-half opposition. Five losses (four without scoring) have been suffered against clubs starting this round inside the top six, which includes Go Ahead Eagles, but seven wins from their last nine visits to De Adelaarshorst should be inspiring.

Players to watch: Go Ahead’s Gerrit Nauber was responsible for his team’s progress to the next round of the KNVB Cup with a late regular time equaliser. For Vitesse, that honour goes to Dominik Oroz, who also prevented an embarrassing elimination against an amateur team with his goal.

Hot stat: Go Ahead Eagles are undefeated against clubs below them on the table at the start of the round (W4, D3) in league football.
