Getafe Alaves prediction 2024-09-28

Getafe vs Alaves prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-09-27 12:00.
[p]With their suspended head coach watching from a distance, Getafe continued their winless start to this La Liga season (D4, L3) albeit without disgracing themselves away to Barcelona (L 1-0). The club can draw some comfort from knowing they avoided relegation in 2021/22 in spite of losing their first seven matches, but that would offer José Bordalás no such assurances considering they sacked their manager of the time (Míchel) after eight rounds![/p]

[p]The defence (0.86 goals conceded per game) continues to do their best to cover the shortfalls of an attacking unit with just three goals to their name this La Liga term. That lack of attacking output meant they couldn’t take full points from their two La Liga home games as favourites this season, drawing with both Leganés and Vallecano, meaning that Bordalás cannot take his next opposition for granted despite Getafe not having lost a league game at home to Deportivo Alavés (W3, D2) during either of his two tenures at the club. [/p]

[p]Polarising worlds will clash here when Alavés, who have seen five of their seven league games this season clear 3+ total goals, look to get their defence in working order so that a powerful front third can get full reward for their efforts. Despite their 11 goals, which is amongst the highest in the league to date, Alavés have just three wins (two of which came at home) from seven La Liga games to show for it. [/p]

[p]They almost pulled off the comeback of all comebacks with two late strikes in a 3-2 loss away to Real Madrid, with the near-miss prompting head coach Luis García to be especially frustrated with what he believed should have been a red card for Real’s Endrick late in the game. With that now in the past, they should still be confident with this trip despite the recent H2H history, as their three wins this league campaign were all recorded against current bottom-half opposition.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri missed both H2Hs through injury last season and will be looking to improve upon the seven draws from his eight H2Hs, hopefully without a fifth yellow card. Of Alavés’ six away goalscorers this league season, Kike García is the only one to have struck in separate appearances. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Getafe’s last nine matches were either drawn or decided by a one-goal margin, as were the last eight H2Hs.[/p]
