Getafe Almeria prediction 2023-11-25

Getafe vs Almeria prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2023-11-24 17:30.
Getafe have been the draw specialists in La Liga (LL) thus far, with more than half of their 13 matches this season ending level (W3, D7, L3), which ranks as the most in the division. Six of those stalemates have come in a seven-match unbeaten LL streak for the Azulones (W1), who accumulated 16 points before the international break – their highest total at this stage since the 2019/20 season when they went onto finish in the top-eight!

While their sights may not be set that high for this campaign, Getafe should certainly be confident of avoiding another relegation scrap if their home form is anything to go by. The Azulones are undefeated at the Estadio Coliseum this LL season (W3, D3), defeating three of the four clubs ranked beneath them at the start of this round (D1), while only Real Betis had conceded fewer than their three goals on home soil. And with four of the last five LL H2Hs against AlmerĂa ending 1-0 to the home side on the day, things could be defensively tight again.

The international break came at a good time for last-placed Almería, who come into this clash on the back of a five-match losing streak in LL football. The Rojiblancos are yet to win a league match this term (D3, L10), with this representing the second-lowest points tally at this stage of a Spanish top-flight season since 1927/28, only better than Sporting Gijón’s two-point haul in 1997/98!

Worryingly, Gijón went on to finish last that season, illustrating just how much work new Almería boss Gaizka Garitano has ahead of him to transform his side’s fortunes. A more compact defence would be the obvious place to start, as they’re one of three LL sides yet to keep a clean sheet after the previous round, with a whopping average of 2.7 goals conceded per game this league campaign!

Players to watch: Getafe frontman Borja Mayoral has been talismanic of late, having a direct hand in each of his side’s last five LL goals (G4, A1). Almería won both LL H2Hs last season, and veteran forward Léo Baptistão scored the winner in the home fixture. It has been a happy matchup for Baptistão, who won six of his eight personal H2Hs (L2).

Hot streak: Getafe’s last eight LL home games were level at half-time.
