Manuel Pellegrini’s men have issues of their own when it comes to defensive personnel, with a long-term injury to Marc Bartra forcing them to turn to the free agent market for immediate reinforcement.
Players to watch: Match officials should keep a close eye on Getafe’s Carles Aleñá, who has been booked in three of his last four meetings with Betis since leaving them at the end of 2019/20. Los Verdiblancos winger Ayoze Pérez made his presence felt early once again last round, with his seven goals for any club since the start of 2022/23 all arriving in the first half.
