Getafe Osasuna prediction 2023-05-28

Getafe vs Osasuna prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2023-05-27 17:00.
Getafe climbed out of the La Liga (LL) relegation zone with a potentially priceless smash-and-grab 1-0 win at Real Betis on Wednesday. Manager José Bordalás declared he was “very happy” with that victory as it was yet more evidence of his side’s improvement since his appointment, which has seen Getafe lose just one of their last four league games (W2, D1).

Another victory here would move the Azulones to the brink of safety, so they’ll be glad to see Osasuna as the opposition having avoided defeat in each of the last seven H2Hs (W3, D4). A final day trip to fellow relegation battlers Valladolid could turn out to be a crucial game, but Getafe might ultimately have their defence to thank if they do stay up, as their 44 goals conceded is better than most of their relegation rivals, while they’ve also managed to keep an impressive 12 clean sheets this term.

Osasuna visit the Spanish capital in a buoyant mood after a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao lifted them into the top seven and the final European qualification place. Los Rojillos are being driven by the “prospect of achieving something amazing” according to boss Jagoba Arrasate, having not qualified for Europe since 2006/07.

That season was the last time they lost both top-flight meetings against Getafe, a fate they’ll be keen to avoid if they’re to hold onto their European berth. Osasuna have been anything but confident travellers of late though and they could suffer a third consecutive league defeat on the road for the first time this season if they’re beaten again here.

Players to watch: After an injury forced top scorer Enes Ünal off in victory over Betis, Getafe may need Borja Mayoral to fill the goalscoring void – he’s netted six of nine strikes this term after half-time. With midweek goalscorer Ante Budimir suspended, Chimy Ávila could return to the starting line-up as he looks to end a four-month goal drought in LL.

Hot stat: Getafe have led just six of their 36 league games at half-time this term, only Espanyol have done so less frequently.
