Granada CF Barcelona prediction 2023-10-08

Granada CF vs Barcelona prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2023-10-07 19:00.
Granada staged an incredible second-half turnaround to overturn a 3-0 deficit into a 3-3 La Liga (LL) draw against Almería last weekend, but coach Paco López wasn’t amused. He felt that his side were “superior for 85 minutes” of the game that extended their sequence of games without a win (D2, L3). There would not be many complaints from the neutral viewers as Granada’s matches have arguably been the most entertaining, seeing an average of 4.3 total goals per league game!

While they plot their move up out of the relegation zone, a game against Barcelona might surprisingly prove to be the antidote to their problems. Granada are unbeaten in their last three LL H2Hs (W1, D2), currently their best-ever such run against the Catalans, and playing here further boosts their confidence with their only league win this campaign coming at this venue.

More recently, Barcelona celebrated coach Xavi’s 100th game in charge of the club with a 1-0 midweek UEFA Champions League (UCL) victory over Porto, their eighth win across nine competitive games (D1). Xavi explained afterwards that they’re “dealing with the ghosts” of crashing out at the group stage of their past two UCLs, and they will now need to refocus on their domestic campaign where they trail bitter rivals Real Madrid by one point.

But Barcelona haven’t been at their best on their travels this season. The only games where they failed to collect full points (D2) have come on the road, including their last league trip to Mallorca where they had to twice come from a goal down to eventually draw 2-2.

Players to watch: Bryan Zaragoza commenced Granada’s comeback in their last match against Almería with their first goal and his three LL strikes this season have come in games that ended with at least five total goals. Contrastingly, Ferran Torres, who saved Barcelona with their lone strike against Porto in the UCL, has scored in his only personal LL H2H that ended in a 2-0 win for his then-employers Valencia.

Hot stat: Barcelona’s last five away competitive matches have produced an average of one red card per game.
