Granada CF Real Sociedad prediction 2024-03-09

Granada CF vs Real Sociedad prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-03-08 17:30.
[p]Ten points adrift of safety with 12 games left to play, it’s no great surprise to see Granada priced up amongst bookmakers as odds-on favourites to face the drop. One win from their last 23 league games (D8, L14) would explain why they find themselves battling relegation, but despite what that form may suggest, recent results at home (W1, D4, L2) show they can be a tough nut to crack on their own patch.[/p]

[p]That should provide a crumb of comfort ahead of the visit of Real Sociedad – a side who they’ve lost four of the last five H2Hs against (W1). That includes a thrilling 5-3 defeat in this season’s reverse, and they’ll be on red alert for leaking goals again here, having conceded at least twice in five of the last seven home H2Hs (W1, D1, L5).[/p]

[p]Sociedad find themselves firmly in the European shake-up, but after suffering six defeats from their last seven games in all competitions, including a 2-1 midweek reverse against PSG, they’re out of the UEFA Champions League, out of the Copa del Rey and out of realistic contention for La Liga’s top four! Isolating solely league form, one win from six (D2, L3) has left them with a fight on their hands simply to secure a top-six finish.[/p]

[p]But this being an away game should boost their belief that they can keep the chasing pack at bay, with only two defeats from their last ten league road trips (W4, D4). That’s perhaps largely due to their ability to grow into the first-half of games, with eight of their 18 away league goals scored this season arriving between the 30th minute and half-time – a period in which they netted in their last two such games. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Theo Corbeanu opened his Granada account against Villarreal last week, with his last four club goals serving as the first or last of the game. Brais Méndez was instrumental in the reverse fixture, clocking up two assists, while three of his last four goals came in 1-0 wins. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Granada have trailed at half-time in a league-high 15 games this season. [/p]
