H. Beer Sheva Austria Vienna prediction 2022-11-03

H. Beer Sheva vs Austria Vienna prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2022-11-02 20:00.
Despite losing just one of their five UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) Group C games to date (D4), too many draws mean Hapoel Be’er-Sheva are staring down the barrel of elimination. There does still remain some qualification hope, but that all hinges on securing a first group win this term against an already eliminated Austria Vienna while hoping for a favour from group winners Villarreal against Lech Poznań.

Hapoel’s inferior goal difference leaves them needing a hefty victory should Lech draw their game, but as they are on a nine game unbeaten run in all competitions (W4, D5), Hapoel should at least come into this clash confident. Nine victories across their last 14 European home games (D3, L2) should serve to further boost confidence, but having conceded first half goals in their two UECL home group games so far, Hapoel can ill afford a slow start on this huge night.

Also winless from their five group games (D2, L3), Austria Vienna are merely playing for pride, but with their last European victory coming five years ago there appears little chance of them snatching third place off of their hosts. They’ve been equally as poor domestically this season too, slipping a whopping 14 points behind the leaders in the Austrian Bundesliga, though they did ensure that gap didn’t grow with a 2-1 victory against Rheindorf Altach at the weekend.

While Austria Vienna could still have a huge say in who advances to the knockout stages, you would be forgiven for expecting them to go out with a whimper. Manfred Schmid’s side have lost their last six European away games and conceded an eye-watering 23 goals in the process, part of a run that sees the Violetten without a victory in 13 European matches (D4, L9).

Players to watch: Two of the paltry four goals Hapoel have netted in the group stage have been game openers scored from the spot by Tomer Hemed. Two of Austria Vienna’s Dominik Fitz’s last three goals also came from the spot and he has made the score 1-1 on his last three scoring appearances.

Hot stat: Austria Vienna have conceded six goals in the last 15 minutes of UECL group games this term, a competition high ahead of the round.
