Heidenheim Bayern Munich prediction 2025-04-19

Heidenheim vs Bayern Munich prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-04-18 13:30.
[p]It’s been a tough few weeks for Heidenheim, and things don’t get any easier as they face Bayern Munich to complete a trio of matches against the Bundesliga’s current top three sides. The last two encounters against Bayer Leverkusen and then Eintracht Frankfurt ended in defeats without scoring, leaving Heidenheim in the relegation play-off spot and seven points from safety. [/p]

[p]Closing that gap against the league leaders looks a tall order, especially on home turf where Heidenheim have been hugely disappointing this season. The hosts have claimed a league-low ten home points this season, with ten of their first 14 home games ending in defeats (W3, D1), and given that all six of their home games against the pre-round top seven this season ended in defeats without scoring, another reversal would be no great surprise.[/p]

[p]In terms of scooping a major honour, all of Bayern’s eggs lie in the Bundesliga basket after they fell short in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final away to Inter Milan on Wednesday night (Agg: 4-3). That two-legged tie was sandwiched between a 2-2 draw with rivals Borussia Dortmund last week, meaning Bayern could now go four competitive games without a win for the first time this season (D2, L1). [/p]

[p]Manager Vincent Kompany is unlikely to be panicking just yet, especially as his side come into the round with a comfortable six-point cushion at the top of the table. They’ve also dropped points in just two of their 18 games against teams starting this round outside the top eight (W16, D1, L1), but a 3-2 defeat here last season shows they must guard against complacency.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Niklas Dorsch scored in the reverse fixture (L 4-2), and the former Bayern man has netted three of his last four club goals after the 80th minute. Serge Gnabry has contributed to a goal after coming on off the bench in Bayern’s last two games (G1, A1) – only Alexander Zickler (18) and Franck RibĂ©ry (15) have ever scored more goals from the bench for the club.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Bayern have claimed a league-high 13 points from losing positions this season, while Heidenheim have the fewest (2).[/p]
