Hoffenheim Stuttgart prediction 2025-02-23

Hoffenheim vs Stuttgart prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-02-22 18:30.
[p]It looked set to be another miserable game in February for Hoffenheim when they went 1-0 down at Werder Bremen, but three unanswered goals saw Christian Ilzer’s men secure a much-needed 3-1 win that followed back-to-back Bundesliga defeats to start the month. That victory means that Die Kraichgauer are now seven points clear of the bottom three heading into this weekend, but they have had a torrid time at home recently, failing to win any of their last seven home encounters in all competitions (D3, L4). [/p]

[p]Those struggles are somewhat reflected in Hoffenheim’s record against upcoming opponents Stuttgart at the PreZero Arena, as the hosts here have prevailed in just one of those last four matches (W1, D2, L1), with that sole defeat coming in last season’s corresponding fixture. Before that though, Hoffenheim were unbeaten in eight Bundesliga home H2Hs (W5, D3), so have had a historical advantage in this fixture. [/p]

[p]Stuttgart have been inconsistent in 2025, winning four and losing three of their seven Bundesliga games since the turn of the year, with those defeats preventing Sebastian Hoeneß’ men from establishing themselves in the European qualification places. Heading into matchday 23 behind sixth-placed Mainz only on goal difference, they’re well within reach of moving into those European spots. [/p]

[p]Die Roten might be pleased to be away from home this weekend since their last two losses were at MHPArena, including a 2-1 defeat to Wolfsburg last Saturday despite Stuttgart leading at the 75th minute. That result highlighted what has become a worrying trend, as between matchdays 18 and 22, Stuttgart conceded more goals from the 76th minute onwards than any other side in the Bundesliga. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Hoffenheim’s Tom Bischof scored his fourth goal of the season against Bremen, with all those strikes coming in games in which both teams scored. Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade got his side’s opener against Wolfsburg, but all three of his goals in 2025 so far have come at home. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Hoffenheim haven’t kept a clean sheet in 31 Bundesliga home matches, coincidentally equalling Stuttgart’s unwanted all-time record in the division between April 2021 and February 2023. [/p]
