Holstein Kiel Hoffenheim prediction 2025-01-18

Holstein Kiel vs Hoffenheim prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-01-17 14:30.
[p]Holstein Kiel’s first-ever Bundesliga season seemed to be heading towards disaster as they struggled with the quality of Germany’s top-flight, but two wins in their last three games (L1) to conclude the first half of the campaign have seen them show signs of life. Those victories came courtesy of a 5-1 hammering of Augsburg and a hugely impressive 4-2 triumph over Borussia Dortmund in midweek, results which underline that they can be a real goalscoring threat. [/p]

[p]Those two monumental wins both came at the Holstein-Stadion, as did their only other victory this league season over Heidenheim, meaning that nine of their 11 points in 2024/25 have been won at home. There’s some extra motivation for head coach Marcel Rapp here too, as he prepares his side to face Hoffenheim, a club he coached at various levels for before joining Holstein Kiel in 2021.[/p]

[p]Hoffenheim sit just three points and one place above their struggling hosts, desperately looking to snap a six-game league winless streak (D2, L4) to alleviate the threat of relegation. Their latest outing saw them thrashed 5-0 by top-flight leaders Bayern Munich on Wednesday, which means that Hoffenheim reached the halfway mark of a Bundesliga campaign with the third-lowest points tally in their history. [/p]

[p]It’s therefore no surprise that Hoffenheim have struggled all over the pitch, keeping only one clean sheet in their last ten matches and scoring in just three of their last nine. A positive omen however might be their limited but successful history against Holstein Kiel, having won the two previous H2Hs. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Alexander Bernhardsson shone for Holstein Kiel with a goal and an assist against Dortmund, with all six of his goalscoring outings for the club coming in games featuring more than 3.5 goals, including the reverse fixture against Hoffenheim. The real star that day was Andrej Kramarić, who netted a hat-trick to earn victory for Die Kraichgauer, with his last goal in that match contributing to 11 of his last 14 goals at club or international level coming after half-time. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Holstein Kiel are the only Bundesliga side yet to draw at home this season (W3, L6). [/p]
