Huddersfield Norwich prediction 2023-03-15

Huddersfield vs Norwich prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2023-03-14 19:45.
As one of three sides sitting six points from safety at the bottom of the Championship after the weekend’s action, things look bleak for Huddersfield Town following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to West Brom. Four league games without a goal highlights the obvious problem for Neil Warnock’s side (D1, L3), and even he admitted afterwards that it’s “hard to see where they’re [the goals] coming from at the minute”.

The Terriers have lost only one of their last four home league games, though (W1, D2), so they’ll hope to use home advantage to close up to the rest of the pack. However, they are running out of time and making their task harder is five of their six remaining home league fixtures are against sides chasing promotion, starting with this one against Norwich City.

As Norwich have won each of the last three H2Hs, scoring ten goals while conceding just once including a 7-0 hammering in April 2021, they’ll see this as an ideal opportunity to bounce back from Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Sunderland. With manager David Wagner returning to his former club, he’ll want a big response after they missed the chance to get back into the top six.

Norwich have lost only once on the road in the league to sides starting this round in 16th place or lower this term (W4, D2) and have been ruthless in putting away struggling teams with that one defeat coming in matchday one. They’ll therefore be targeting three points to boost their play-off hopes as they look to go three league away matches unbeaten (W1, D1) for the first time since October.

Players to watch: Gabriel Sara has netted in two of Norwich’s last three games, with four of his five Championship goals arriving after the 55th minute. Huddersfield’s ex-Ipswich Town striker Martyn Waghorn would surely love to get one over Norwich after registering assists in two of his last three appearances against them.

Hot stat: Huddersfield have conceded first in six of their last seven league fixtures (W1, D1, L5).
