Huddersfield Swansea prediction 2022-11-12

Huddersfield vs Swansea prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-11-11 15:00.
November was shaping up to be yet another gloomy month for the Championship’s basement side Huddersfield Town after starting with back-to-back scoreless losses, but Mark Fotheringham’s men proved they have life in them yet with a 2-1 comeback victory against QPR in midweek. Now would be as good a time as ever for Huddersfield to register consecutive league wins for the first time since May, although they do seem cursed given each of their last five Championship wins was immediately followed up by a loss.

The John Smith's Stadium faithful will try to play their part in breaking that curse, considering four of the Terriers’ five wins this season have come at home. Huddersfield have been similarly impressive at home against Swansea City too, with just one defeat in the last ten home H2H encounters (W5, D4) building belief they can maybe climb off the foot of the table with a win here.

While Huddersfield fight relegation worries, Swansea find themselves a point adrift of the playoff spots due to conceding an 89th minute equaliser against Birmingham last time out, drawing 2-2. Swansea only have themselves to blame having kept only one clean sheet in their last ten matches, something manager Russell Martin alluded to after the Birmingham match, insisting his side have “conceded far too many goals for the amount of shots and chances we give away”.

The picture gets worse when looking at the Swans’ defensive record on the road, having conceded in 12 of their last 13 away matches. Not only that, but they tend to let their guard down early too, and have conceded the first goal in each of their last five away games, though they did recover to claim at least a point in three of those matches (W1, D2).

Players to watch: Huddersfield’s Josh Ruffels ruffled some feathers with a brace to win the game against QPR, with that being the third time in his last four goalscoring outings he’s netted the match winner. Meanwhile, Swansea’s Olivier Ntcham scored for Swansea against Birmingham, meaning all five of his Championship goals this season have come away from home.

Hot stat: Nine of Swansea’s last ten matches have featured goals in both halves.
