The omens don’t appear positive for improving upon that start with a trip to Humberside either, having lost four of the last eight H2Hs (W2, D2), a run which dates back to October 2010. A four match winless run in regular season Championship away games would hint at that misery extending, but three 1-1 draws in that run does at least indicate they’re hard to beat.
Players to watch: Manchester City loanee Liam Delap grabbed the winner in Hull’s win at Leicester. That was his sixth Championship goal, the last two of which were game openers. His opposite number on Friday night will be Matt Godden, who despite netting an 87th minute leveller in the 3-3 draw at Watford in their last outing, has seen his other three goals this season come before half-time.
