Hull Stoke prediction 2024-03-29

Hull vs Stoke prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-03-28 15:00.
[p]Four consecutive draws have seen Hull lose ground in the play-off race, uncharacteristically dropping points having scored first in three of those, with the other a goalless affair. The Tigersā€™ record still stands at just one defeat in ten games (W5, D4), but such is the intensity of the battle for the top six in the Championship, they begin this round three points off the pace of those currently occupying those play-off spots, albeit with a game in hand.[/p]

[p]Three of the four draws Liam Roseniorā€™s side have been involved in during the last month came on home soil, and itā€™s there where you feel their points return needs to improve. Every side currently above them in the table has picked up more points at home than they have (28), and given Hull have won just once at the MKM Stadium in 2024 (W1, D4, L2), itā€™s fair to say this ground isnā€™t a fortress.[/p]

[p]Perhaps a positive omen for Hull is the fact that they welcome Stoke, who have won just four of their 39 league games held on Good Friday (D9, L26)! The Potters have a good track record in away H2Hs at least, winning their previous two visits ā€˜to nilā€™ and losing just three of 12 H2Hs at Hull to date (W6, D3), although they have never won three consecutive away games against the Tigers.[/p]

[p]Steven Schumacherā€™s side have as much incentive as their hosts, as they need the points in their battle at the bottom of the Championship table, with a two-point cushion to the relegation zone far from comfortable. Eight defeats from their last 11 league matches (W3) would explain why they find themselves there, and with only bottom club Rotherham (10) losing more Championship games in 2024, the Potters risk dropping into the third tier for the first time since 2001/02.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Loanee Fabio Carvalho has three goals in his last five Hull appearances, with three of his four strikes since arriving in January bringing the gameā€™s opening goal. Up against him, Stoke goalkeeper Daniel Iversen kept a clean sheet the last time he faced Hull back in 2022 whilst playing for Preston.Ā [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Hull have scored exactly once in five of their last seven home games.[/p]
