Inter Barcelona prediction 2025-05-06

Inter vs Barcelona prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-05-05 19:00.
[p]The 3-3 draw between Inter Milan and Barcelona in the first leg of this UEFA Champions League (UCL) tie will forever be remembered as one of the competition’s great games. Both managers would almost certainly have swapped entertainment for a favourable result, but the draw will have perhaps suited Inter more, who host the second leg at the San Siro unbeaten in 16 UCL games (W13, D3).[/p]

[p]They’ve been equally as strong at home against Spanish opposition down the years (W12, D10, L4), which includes a respectable record when Barcelona have visited in this competition (W2, D3, L1). They’ll need any positive omens they can get here as their recent form in all competitions has been patchy (W1, D2, L3), but that sole win did come at the weekend in a 1-0 success against Verona which keeps their Serie A title hopes alive. [/p]

[p]Barcelona are bidding to win a title of their own in La Liga, and they had to do things the hard way to beat an already-relegated Real Valladolid at the weekend, coming from behind to win 2-1. The Catalan club are still on course for a famous quadruple this season having already won the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey, but to keep their hopes of winning the UCL alive they’ll have to secure just a third-ever away win in a UCL semi-final (W2, D2, L11). [/p]

[p]Securing that feat would in turn book Barcelona’s place in a sixth UCL final, and having won four of their last five away games in this competition (L1), that certainly isn’t beyond them. Winning three of their last six games in Italy (D2, L1) will only reinforce that belief, but whatever happens here, entertainment seems a near certainty as 15 of Barcelona’s last 16 UCL games saw over 2.5 goals.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Inter’s Marcus Thuram opened the scoring in the first leg, while six of his last seven club goals have either opened or closed the scoring. Lamine Yamal was also on target in the first leg, as he was in Barça’s other UCL game against Italian opposition this term, with four of his five strikes in the competition arriving before the hour mark. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Barcelona have received an average of one yellow card per game in the UCL this term. [/p]
