Inter Feyenoord prediction 2025-03-11

Inter vs Feyenoord prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-03-10 20:00.
[p]Serie A leaders Inter Milan had to work hard at the weekend to stage a comeback from 2-0 down to defeat last-placed Monza, and perhaps that was the jolt they needed to ensure they don’t take their 2-0 UEFA Champions League (UCL) lead against Feyenoord for granted. The Italians may also be contemplating last season’s Round of 16 tie against Atlético Madrid, during which they held a 1-0 lead after one leg only to lose the tie on penalties.[/p]

[p]On this occasion Inter have a two-goal advantage to defend at the San Siro, a venue where they haven’t lost in 14 UCL matches (W12, D2). They’ve won their last five such games here without conceding a single goal, and last week’s first-leg win added an astonishing eighth clean sheet from their nine UCL outings this term – their 89% clean sheet ratio is the best a team has ever posted in a single European Cup/UCL campaign spanning at least five games. [/p]

[p]Feyenoord were granted the weekend off by the Dutch FA so that they could throw everything they have at this trip to Italy. New head coach Robin van Persie boldly claimed his side are still in the tie following the 2-0 loss last week, but Feyenoord will need a minor miracle to secure a first UCL quarter-finals appearance of this century, especially after failing to win any of their last eight away matches against Italian sides in European competition (D3, L5). [/p]

[p]They’re going to have to buck some long-term history to turn this tie around, in addition to scoring at least twice against an Inter defence that has conceded just once this UCL campaign. Across their 26 away matches in the UCL, Feyenoord have recorded just one victory by a multiple-goal margin, and although that was just four months ago away to Benfica (3-1), Feyenoord have failed to win any of their last six competitive away games (D3, L3). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Lautaro MartĂnez scored his sixth UCL goal of the season in the first leg – his last five scoring appearances saw Inter win without conceding. One of Julián Carranza’s two competitive goals in February was an equaliser in Feyenoord’s last UCL away trip (1-1 at AC Milan) and he’s never lost a scoring appearance for Feyenoord (W4, D1). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Six of Feyenoord’s last eight competitive games produced under 2.5 goals.[/p]
