Ipswich Arsenal prediction 2025-04-20

Ipswich vs Arsenal prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-04-19 13:00.
[p]Ipswich may well have squandered a 2-0 lead at Chelsea (D 2-2), but even if they’d have held on, it was unlikely to have any impact on their inevitable relegation to the Championship. Their fate could be sealed this weekend if West Ham and Wolves both win and they lose against Arsenal, and with their winless H2H league run standing at 14 games (D3, L11), a temporary reprieve for another week may well rely on someone else’s shortcomings. [/p]

[p]The last four matches in that run ended in defeats without scoring, but having found the net in 11 of their last 12 encounters across all competitions, Kieran McKenna’s men could at least end that run here. Conceding has been a much bigger issue than scoring this season, particularly in the latter stages, with only already-relegated Southampton (31) leaking more Premier League goals after the hour mark than Ipswich’s 24 pre-round.[/p]

[p]Arsenal should make the trip to Suffolk on cloud nine after a famous 2-1 win at the Bernabéu booked the Gunners’ ticket to a first UEFA Champions League semi-final since 2009. Their progress in that competition has made the league feel like an unwanted distraction, and if the Gunners were to lose an away league H2H for the first time since 1984 here, then a Liverpool win later in the day would be enough to win the Merseysiders the title.[/p]

[p]The prospects of affording Liverpool the chance to wrap the title up this weekend appear slim given Mikel Arteta’s side have gone six games unbeaten away from home (W3, D3). Irrespective of the venue any Arsenal defeat seems highly unlikely as they’ve won each of their last ten Premier League meetings against teams starting the day in the relegation zone by an aggregate score of 30-2![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Julio Enciso opened his Premier League account for the season last weekend against Chelsea – three of his last four top-flight goals came against London clubs, including one against Arsenal whilst playing for Brighton in 2022/23. Bukayo Saka’s opener in Madrid set Arsenal on their way to victory in the winger’s tenth goalscoring appearance of the season, nine of which have ended in victory (D1). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: None of Ipswich’s last six matches have featured a first-half booking for their opponents. [/p]
