Juventus Atalanta prediction 2025-03-09

Juventus vs Atalanta prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-03-08 19:45.
[p]Despite their February being soured by early eliminations from the UEFA Champions League and Coppa Italia, Juventus’ five-game winning streak in Serie A sees them enter this round only six points behind league-leaders Inter. With four of those five wins being against teams from the bottom half of the table, a different kind of test awaits when Atalanta visit, but the Bianconeri should be confident having lost just twice across the last 40 league H2Hs (W25, D13).  [/p]

[p]With Juve’s 13 league draws this term serving as a comfortable league-high, and given the fact the last three Serie A H2Hs ended level, supporters could be forgiven for expecting another draw here. Juventus at least remain unbeaten at home this league season (W7, D7) and have improved that record with four consecutive home wins, three of which came with an accompanying clean sheet[/p]

[p]Atalanta also recorded a clean sheet in the last round but still weren’t able to beat relegation-fighting Venezia (D 0-0), with that serving as the second goalless draw across their last three Serie A matches and leaving them three points below the summit at the end of the round. That was the first time Atalanta kept four consecutive clean sheets in the top-flight since 2000 – only three times in history, and not since 1997, have they kept 5+ Serie A clean sheets in a row![/p]

[p]Unbeaten in six consecutive away league H2Hs (W1, D5), Atalanta will fancy their chances here, not least because no team has picked up more than their 30 away points this term (W9, D3, L2). Gian Piero Gasperini, who will equal Nils Liedholm here as the coach with the second-most matches (332) in charge of a single team in the history of Serie A, will have to do something to improve a fading attack that has scored more than once in only one of their last five competitive matches.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Formerly of Atalanta, Teun Koopmeiners rounded off the scoring in Juventus’ last win, with six of his last seven competitive goals arriving after the break. Preferring to strike a little earlier, Serie A top-scorer Mateo Retegui has netted seven goals across his last six league appearances, with six arriving before the hour mark.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Ahead of this round, Juventus’ 19 opening goals this Serie A season was the joint-most in the league.[/p]
