Juventus Cagliari prediction 2023-11-11

Juventus vs Cagliari prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2023-11-10 17:00.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri 'parked the bus’ with great success in Florence last Sunday, when another typical Allegri performance saw his side claim their fourth straight Serie A (SA) clean sheet victory. Three shots on target were enough to defeat Fiorentina 1-0 and keep pace with league leaders Inter, whilst the Bianconeri can go top of the table – for at least one night – if they beat Cagliari for a 12th time in 13 H2Hs (L1).

The hosts’ belief ought to be boosted by the fact they are on a run of six consecutive league matches without conceding for the first time since a period between Oct 2022 and Jan 2023, when their streak ended at eight matches. On that basis, Allegri insisted that Juventus’ main target this season is to finish in the top four, conceding that their rivals Inter “have been building a team for years to win the Scudetto,” perhaps deflecting the pressure away from his players.

Cagliari had to wait ten rounds to taste their first victory of the SA season but have finally rewarded their fans with some joy, winning three consecutive games across all competitions after defeating Genoa 2-1 in the previous round. Experienced coach Claudio Ranieri should be satisfied with the changes he made, notably the inclusion of Gabirele Zappa, whose winner and first ever SA goal was enough to see Cagliari climb out of the relegation zone.

That being said, the visitors are yet to pick up a SA win on the road this season (D2, L3), an unwanted record that appears unlikely to change here. Cagliari lost each of their last six away matches against Juventus, failing to score on five occasions, which when you couple with coach Ranieri's personal record against Juventus (W3, D4, L16), makes for pretty bleak reading.

Players to watch: Juventus youngster Fabio Miretti scored his first SA goal against Fiorentina, whilst he celebrated his first strike for Italy U21 earlier this term, both of which arrived before the half-time break. Cagliari’s Nicolas Viola is in arguably even better form, contributing to four goals across the last four matches (G3, A1).

Hot stat: Since Allegri’s return in 2021/22, no team has won with a 1-0 scoreline more often in SA than Juventus (17).
