Juventus Empoli prediction 2025-02-26

Juventus vs Empoli prediction: ITALY: Coppa Italia betting tips on match 2025-02-25 20:00.
[p]After suffering UEFA Champions League elimination at the hands of PSV last week, and with their chances of winning the Serie A title looking incredibly slim, the Coppa Italia presents the only realistic remaining possibility for Juventus to bring home some silverware this season. The Bianconeri will enter this clash as the reigning champions and with a positive mindset, after a 1-0 win against Cagliari 1-0 on Sunday secured them a fourth consecutive league win.[/p]

[p]The 15-time winners of this competition could take advantage of their strong competitive home record against Empoli to make that five in a row as they have won 11 of their last 13 H2Hs on their own turf (D1, L1), including a 4-1 comeback victory earlier this month. That’s part of a run which has seen Juventus win four of their last five competitive matches here (L1), including a 1-0 win over defending champions Inter in their last such match.[/p]

[p]Empoli travel having reached the Coppa Italia’s quarter-finals for the first time since 2006/07, but their preparations couldn’t have gone much worse as they suffered a 5-0 thrashing by Atalanta this weekend, which marked their fourth straight defeat. That loss saw Empoli fall into the relegation places, so Coppa Italia duties could prove a welcome distraction. [/p]

[p]Being drawn away certainly hasn’t helped Empoli’s quest to reach the last four for the first time ever, having lost four of their last five trips (D1), conceding at least three times in each defeat. Another heavy defeat here certainly can’t be ruled out as they’ve also conceded 3+ goals in five of their six defeats this season against sides currently in Serie A’s top-four like Juventus (D1).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Dušan Vlahović sealed the victory for Juventus on Sunday and he opened the scoring with three of his last five goals – including in the Coppa Italia last 16 against Cagliari. Former Juventus player Mattia De Sciglio has scored Empoli’s only goal across their last four matches, which was the opener in the last H2H earlier this month.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Empoli have conceded nine of their last 14 goals after the hour mark – including all four in the previous H2H.[/p]
