Klaksvik O. Ljubljana prediction 2023-10-26

Klaksvik vs O. Ljubljana prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-10-25 16:45.
Matchday three is moving time in Group A of the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL), as Klaksvik take on Olimpija Ljubljana after both failed to win either of their opening two matches. The Faroese hosts have earned plenty of plaudits on their UECL debut however, succumbing to a Slovan Bratislava comeback on matchday one before holding Lille to a creditable 0-0 draw earlier this month.

Remarkably, this will be Klaksvik’s 11th European match of the season already after a gruelling qualifying campaign (W2, D5, L3). Throughout that run, KÍ have remained unbeaten at home (W1, D4), while they’ve been beaten in front of their fans just twice in European competition since the start of the 2019/20 season (W7, D5), so confidence will be high they can finally break their UECL duck here.

Up against that impressive home record, Olimpija have their work cut out as they’ve won only one of their last six away matches in Europe, and are currently bottom of the group after defeats away at Lille (2-0) and at home to Slovan Bratislava (1-0). The Slovenians have followed the same lengthy route to the UECL as their hosts, but they appear to be tiring as they travel to the Faroe Islands looking to end a run of six games without a win in European competition.

That sequence stretches back to August and has seen Olimpija net just once, leaving manager Zoran Zeljković with plenty of thinking to do if they are to revive their UECL campaign. Their continental exploits also appear to have taken their toll on domestic matters, as despite the Dragons being unbeaten in four league matches (W2, D2), the reigning Slovenian champions sit six points adrift of the leaders.

Players to watch: Árni Frederiksberg got an assist in the away defeat at Slovan Bratislava, which came during a run of seven games where he was involved in at least one Klaksvik goal in each (G5, A5). Of Olimpija’s last six goals, three have been scored by Rui Pedro, all of which arrived after half-time.

Hot stat: Klaksvik have kept clean sheets in four of their last five games across all competitions.
