Las Palmas Betis prediction 2024-09-26

Las Palmas vs Betis prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-09-25 17:00.
[p]It took until round six for Las Palmas to record their first league win last season but ahead of Thursday’s round seven fixture against Real Betis at home, the Yellows are still searching for their first three points of this campaign (D2, L4). A 2-1 defeat at Osasuna on Saturday left them bottom of the table and extended their winless league run to 20 games (D7, L13), with AlmerĂa’s league record of 31 La Liga matches without a win now coming into view.[/p]

[p]This was not the plan when new boss Luis Carrión was appointed in the summer and so far he has struggled in his first season at this level. However, he was upbeat after the loss at Osasuna and described the performance as their “best away game so far” and saw “more things done right than in previous games”, yet he’ll need to start returning points sooner rather than later. [/p]

[p]If history is anything to go by then Betis are the ideal opponents for the hosts as the Green and Whites have won just three of their previous 23 top-flight visits here (D5, L15) with the last of those victories coming in 1988! But this modern day version under Manuel Pellegrini are a consistent outfit who have finished in the top seven for four seasons in a row, qualifying for Europe each time.[/p]

[p]They do have some issues at the moment as they have failed to score a goal in their last three away league games, while they have conceded in second-half stoppage time in their last two matches. The late goal for Getafe didn’t stop Betis winning in round five (2-1), but Mallorca’s late strike saw them take all three points on Monday (2-1), also meaning Pellegrini’s side will have had less than a three-day turnaround ahead of this clash, handing a physical advantage to their hosts.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Alberto Moleiro scored on Saturday and the Las Palmas winger needs one more goal to match his previous season-best tally of three La Liga goals. He scored in this fixture in May and is yet to lose when finding the net at home (W1, D3). Betis keeper Rui Silva has already kept two clean sheets in the league this season but is yet to do so in any of his three H2Hs against Las Palmas which have all ended as score-draws.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Real Betis’ last eight La Liga games have produced no more than three match goals.[/p]
