Le Havre Lens prediction 2025-01-12

Le Havre vs Lens prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-01-11 14:00.
[p]History is certainly against Le Havre ahead of their home clash with Lens, as they come into the game with 12 defeats already in Ligue 1 this season, and since the turn of the century, the three previous teams to have lost a dozen of their opening 16 league matches in the French top-flight have all ultimately suffered relegation! Their recent H2H record against the Blood and Gold also gives little cause for optimism, as they have failed to win or even take the lead in any of the last three meetings (D3).[/p]

[p]Going ahead has been a real problem for the Sky and Navy this season at the Stade Océane, where they have led for only 55 minutes in the league, contributing to the worst home record in the division. And after an encouraging November (W2, L1), Le Havre have now lost five in a row overall, including to fourth-tier Stade Briochin in the cup, before beginning 2025 with a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Marseille.[/p]

[p]Lens also ended 2024 by being knocked out of the Coupe de France, and lost to fellow European hopefuls Toulouse in Ligue 1 last Sunday (1-0), but they shouldn’t be too fearful ahead of their first away game of the new year as they have accumulated more points and scored more league goals on their travels than they have at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis so far this season.[/p]

[p]Across the campaign, they have led for 265 minutes during away trips, with only high-flying Marseille ahead for longer in Ligue 1 (416). Although Will Still’s side make the journey to Normandy without a win from their last three games (D1, L2) in all competitions, their manager will arrive there looking to extend his 100% record over Le Havre after two victories while in charge of Reims last season.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Gautier Lloris is one of only three players to have netted at home for Le Havre this term, while the defender also found the net at Nice last month, but was also booked during both goalscoring defeats. Przemysław Frankowski has contributed to more than a quarter of Lens’ away goals this campaign, including an assist in their last match on the road, and netted in last April’s H2H.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Le Havre have scored before half-time in just three games all season.[/p]
