Le Havre vs Monaco prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-04-25 17:00.
[p]Le Havre returned from the March international break with back-to-back victories and their chances of avoiding relegation appeared to be improving sharply, but after consecutive defeats they started this round three points adrift of 15th-placed Angers and guaranteed safety. The most recent of those losses should offer some encouragement, as despite losing to league champions PSG they kept the margin to a respectable one goal.[/p]
[p]Their last home match was a disaster, as they were 3-0 down against Rennes inside 15 minutes on the way to being thrashed 5-1. That condemned Didier Digard’s men to their eighth loss in their last ten games at the Stade OcĂ©ane (W1, D1) – a run which has contributed to the worst home record in Ligue 1 this season. They’ve at least acquitted themselves well in their most recent H2Hs on their own patch against Monaco, going unbeaten in the last three such encounters (W1, D2). [/p]
[p]Monaco’s last away match was a bitter disappointment as they conceded in the 94th minute to lose 2-1 to Brest, but since then, Adi Hütter’s men have beaten second-placed Marseille 3-0 and drawn 0-0 with fellow top-four hopefuls Strasbourg. Those results mean that they are now on the cusp of three successive clean sheets in the same season for the first time since last April, a feat which could prove invaluable given that, ahead of this weekend, there are only three points separating the principality outfit in third and seventh-placed Strasbourg![/p]
[p]An unexpected loss in Normandy would represent Monaco’s first defeat at Le Havre in Ligue 1 since November 1995. Despite the league table suggesting a win here should be a mere formality for Monaco, the principality outfit have won just one of their last nine Ligue 1 away games (D3, L5).[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Issa Soumaré’s consolation at PSG last Saturday ended his five-game goal drought, but only one of his four goals for the club came at home. In September’s 3-1 reverse-fixture win for Monaco, Takumi Minamino provided an assist, but if he’s to go one better here and get on the scoresheet it may happen early given seven of his eight club goals this season arrived before the break. [/p]
[p]Hot streak: Le Havre conceded inside the first 30 minutes in each of their last eight home games. [/p]
