Le Havre Nantes prediction 2025-03-30

Le Havre vs Nantes prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-03-29 15:15.
[p]The international break offered Le Havre the chance to reset following a heated 4-2 loss at Lyon, after which head coach Didier Digard remonstrated with the referee over the decision to award Lyon’s third goal. He was subsequently handed a suspension for dissent and will therefore miss an important home fixture against fellow bottom-half club Nantes, with the hosts’ Ligue 1 survival well and truly at stake in the coming weeks. [/p]

[p]Le Havre’s terrible performances at the Stade Océane are largely to blame for their precarious situation (W2, D1, L10), with their last such game seeing them let one of the league’s worst attacks (Saint-Étienne) score in a 1-1 draw. Ironically, not since they met Nantes in November’s reverse fixture have Le Havre kept a Ligue 1 clean sheet, which explains why they have won just two of their 14 French top-flight outings since then (D3, L9).[/p]

[p]Nantes could move nine points ahead of Le Havre with victory here and subsequently very close to securing safety, in what is likely to be their sixth bottom-half finish in seven seasons. In contrast to their upcoming opponents, they go into this contest after defeating a top-three contender (1-0 against Lille at home), but they too are searching for their first pair of back-to-back league wins since matchdays two and three![/p]

[p]Unfortunately for Nantes, their previous four Ligue 1 victories were all immediately followed by a loss, although this game looks like a great opportunity to snap that unwanted trend. Not only did the Canaries win last season’s corresponding fixture against Le Havre (1-0), but they remain unbeaten in this competition away from home this term against the other clubs who joined them and their upcoming opponents in the bottom half during the international break (W2, D3). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Albeit without success for his team, Le Havre’s Abdoulaye TourĂ© scored his fourth and fifth goals of the Ligue 1 season earlier this month, with four of those efforts in 2024/25 coming directly from the penalty spot. Nantes will hope to get more out of Sorba Thomas after he registered two assists for Wales in a 3-1 win over Kazakhstan – as many goals as he has set up in the entire league campaign so far. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: The pre-match favourite has won ten of Le Havre’s 13 Ligue 1 home games this season (D1, L2).[/p]
