Le Havre vs Reims prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-11-09 16:00.
[p]Le Havre will come up against a familiar face in the dugout on Sunday as their former head coach Luka Elsner brings his Reims side to the Stade Océane after making the switch between the two clubs in the summer. At least Le Havre can go into the match with some much-needed positivity following a massive 1-0 win over fellow Ligue 1 strugglers Montpellier, a result which ended a six-game losing streak but even despite that, Didier Digard’s side still remain in the bottom two. [/p]
[p]Their main issue this season has been scoring goals, as no team has netted fewer than Le Havre in the division (8). To compound matters, if the Sky and Navy lose to Reims here, it will be the fifth different side they have lost to on six straight occasions in Ligue 1, a bit of history that will understandably leave home fans with fairly low expectations going into this encounter. [/p]
[p]Mid-table Reims have lost their last three games after a very strong start to the current campaign beforehand (W4, D2, L1) in what is their joint-worst run since losing four in a row in May 2016. Even though those three losses came via a one-goal margin, a return to their three-match streak before the last international break of opening the scoring in the first ten minutes would be ideal for the Red and Whites, who have now conceded on their last 16 Ligue 1 away trips – the worst ongoing such sequence in France’s top flight.[/p]
[p]Reims have earned seven points from losing positions ahead of the upcoming round of fixtures – the joint-highest figure in the division in 2024/25 along with Lyon. That’s something that will give them confidence before facing Le Havre, who they’ve lost to just once in their last nine league meetings (W5, D3). [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Abdoulaye Touré got Le Havre’s winner against Montpellier last Sunday from the penalty spot, but interestingly, the last time the Guinea international scored but ended up on the losing side for club or country was last season’s corresponding fixture against Reims (2-1). Junya Ito could provide a spark for the visitors as he’s assisted Reims’ last two goals and has started the team’s last 24 games in succession![/p]
[p]Hot stat: There has been a red card brandished in three of the last four H2Hs. [/p]
