Le Havre Toulouse prediction 2025-02-23

Le Havre vs Toulouse prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-02-22 16:15.
[p]Following a stunning win against Lille, second-bottom Le Havre reverted to type last weekend as they slumped to their 15th Ligue 1 defeat of the season. Currently seven points worse off than at this stage last term, Didier Digard has a mammoth task on his hands to oversee the survival of France’s oldest club with just 12 games of the season remaining. [/p]

[p]Le Havre have at least found the net in six of their last seven matches following a run of eight scoring blanks in the previous 11. Terrible home form however has been the Sky and Navy’s Achilles’ heel, as only Southampton across Europe’s traditional big-five leagues have lost more often on their own patch than their nine this season going into the weekend. To compound matters, six of those defeats have come in succession ahead of Sunday, leaving them at risk of losing seven-straight Ligue 1 home games for the first time ever. [/p]

[p]Sitting ten points above their hosts, Toulouse also risk getting dragged down the table unless they can end their six-match league run without victory (D3, L3), although winning six of their eight previous games in Ligue 1, and only losing by single-goal margins in their aforementioned lull in form suggests that a change in fortune could be around the corner. [/p]

[p]Toulouse have won three of their four games against current bottom-three opponents this season, with two of those victories accompanied by a clean sheet and a 2+ goal margin. Any potential success here will likely depend on a strong defensive display, and Les Violets have kept more clean sheets in their last seven away league encounters (four) than in the previous 21 such trips.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Le Havre’s AndrĂ© Ayew has scored five league goals against Toulouse – his joint-highest return against any current Ligue 1 side. For Toulouse, Zakaria Aboukhlal has netted four of his six goals this season away from home, while his last four scoring appearances have seen him find the net decisively. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Toulouse have avoided defeat in almost half their league games when conceding first this season (W1, D4, L6). [/p]
