Lecce Monza prediction 2024-12-15

Lecce vs Monza prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-12-14 11:30.
[p]Following a humbling 4-1 defeat away to Roma last weekend, Lecce entered the penultimate Serie A round prior to Christmas just three points above the drop zone, with that 13-point haul representing their lowest tally at this stage of a season since returning to the top-flight in 2022/23. Consequently, Lecce remain at risk of falling into the drop zone if they can’t at least continue the trend which has seen each of their last six results differ in sequence (W2, D2, L2). [/p]

[p]Playing on home soil should provide a boost for Lecce, who have avoided defeat in their last three league games here (W1, D2), most recently holding 36-time Serie A champions Juventus to a 1-1 draw. Lecce have been priced as the pre-match favourites this time around and have often coped well with that tag, losing just twice across 13 such home league matches since the start of last season (W6, D5). [/p]

[p]One of the sides who can drag Lecce down the table are opponents Monza, who sit in the drop zone just three points behind Lecce and with a vastly superior goal difference. That’s scant consolation for Monza who travel here on the back of an eight-match competitive winless run (D3, L5), which is their longest since a nine-game streak ending in May of this year. [/p]

[p]Stopping the rot here will be no small task if Monza’s woeful away form in Serie A is indicative as they make the 1000+ km trip across Italy on the back of just one win across their last 14 trips (D6, L7). Casting further doubts over away confidence may be the fact that they’ve not won an away H2H in this century (D3, L1), whilst they even failed to win two of their last three away league games when scoring first (D1, L1). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Lecce forward Nikola Krstović heads into this after contributing to goals in his last two appearances (G1, A1), but his three goals prior to the one last weekend all came in home action. For Monza, Dany Mota scored before half-time in three of his club’s only four away victories in 2024. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Lecce have failed to score in a league-high eight matches ahead of this round (53%). [/p]
