Leganes Alaves prediction 2025-02-15

Leganes vs Alaves prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-02-14 13:00.
[p]Saturday’s La Liga action kicks off with a relegation scrap as 17th-placed Leganés welcome 19th-placed Alavés, who sit two points below. The hosts remain outside of the relegation zone despite entering this on the back of a three-game winless league run (D1, L2), whilst also suffering the frustration of seeing one of their two January signings, defender Borna Barisic, leave the field injured in the opening ten minutes of his debut last time out. [/p]

[p]Leganés’ primary concern of late is that they enter this round on the back of three straight scoring blanks in La Liga, which is not even their longest such run this season. Hope remains that Leganés can avoid an immediate return to the second-tier, as they managed to survive when picking up five fewer points at this stage in 2016/17, but their tragic recent home form offers little hope of a turnaround starting here (W1, L5). [/p]

[p]Travelling on the back of identical three-game league form to their hosts (D1, L2), Alavés can provisionally escape the bottom-three with victory. Earning a 1-1 draw in the reverse, Alavés remain winless against the current bottom-five sides in the league so far (D2, L2), and Eduardo Coudet’s poor start to life as Alavés boss (W1, D4, L4) suggests that record might not improve here. [/p]

[p]In spite of their raw form, Alavés have looked like a different beast away from home under Coudet, where their only league defeat was a slender 1-0 failure at Barcelona (W1, D2, L1) whilst scoring seven times along the way. If they can continue that positive momentum here then they could secure their first-ever pair of consecutive victories away to Leganés after winning here for the first time since 1997 on their last visit.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Juan Cruz scored both of Leganés’ goals in their latest home game, although he has failed to win in four of his six scoring appearances this season (W2, D2, L2). Carlos Vicente scored Alavés’ equaliser in the reverse fixture and all of the winger’s five strikes since joining the club have served as team openers. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Alavés are yet to keep an away league clean sheet and have conceded at least twice in eight of their 12 trips. [/p]
