Leicester Birmingham prediction 2024-04-06

Leicester vs Birmingham prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-04-05 14:00.
[p]Leicester City experienced a mixed set of results over the Easter weekend, losing 1-0 to Bristol City on Good Friday before coming back to beat Norwich 3-1 on Easter Monday. That ultimately saw their Championship title rivals gain ground on the Foxes, who start the weekend in third place, a point behind Leeds and two points adrift of Ipswich, but with a game-in-hand that they’ll be banking on it to regain pole position at some stage. [/p]

[p]Enzo Maresca’s men now return to the King Power Stadium where that victory over Norwich snapped a two-game losing run at home, which somewhat spoiled their home record after winning eight of their nine home games prior (D1). They now shape up for the arrival of Birmingham City, a team they’ve already beaten twice this season, which forms the tail end of a five-game winning streak against them. [/p]

[p]The visitors were also victorious on Easter Monday when they ran out 1-0 winners at home against Preston, but that was more of a relief than a celebration after a horrendous bout of six losses in the seven games beforehand (D1). It’s no surprise then to see them heavily involved in this season’s relegation battle, as they find themselves just two points above those in the dreaded drop zone. [/p]

[p]Not only will their fight for survival seemingly go down to the wire, but perhaps every game on the way will too, since ten of their last 12 matches have been decided by a one-goal margin or drawn. Hitting the road certainly doesn’t help their cause either, with only bottom-of-the-table Rotherham (four) collecting more points away from home this season than the Blues (12). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Leicester’s Stephy Mavididi will be looking to consolidate the brace he scored in the reverse fixture, where the second goal contributed to six of his last eight strikes coming after half-time. Birmingham’s Jordan James also scored a double that day, which was one of the five occasions he’s netted his team’s last goal this season. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: The second half has been the highest scoring half in nine of Leicester’s last 13 home games.[/p]
