Leicester Brentford prediction 2025-02-21

Leicester vs Brentford prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-02-20 20:00.
[p]Despite losing nine of their last ten Premier League games (W1), Leicester City are incredibly only two points adrift of safety. That doesn’t owe to a fast start to the season, more the shortcomings of the other sides at the foot of the table, and although they could provisionally climb out of the bottom three with a win here against Brentford, five successive home league defeats without scoring suggest they won’t.[/p]

[p]It was early December when Leicester last scored a Premier League goal at the King Power Stadium and after fan protests before last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal, all certainly isn’t well at the club. History would suggest a visit from Brentford could help break both of their droughts as Leicester have lost only one of the last 13 H2Hs (W9, D3) and scored in 17 of the last 18 meetings between the pair. [/p]

[p]The main problem for Leicester is that they meet a Brentford side in formidable away form of late. That is a huge turnaround for the Bees as they went winless in their first nine away league games of the season (D2, L7), but they’ve won their three such games since, most recently beating West Ham 1-0 last weekend. [/p]

[p]You certainly can’t rule out that run being extended here as Brentford own a formidable record in Friday-held Premier League fixtures, with Thomas Frank’s side winning four of their five since their promotion to the top-flight (D1). Concerningly for Leicester’s chances of scoring a goal, the Bees kept a clean sheet in four of those games, as they’ve done in three of their last four away league outings this season. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Bobby De Cordova-Reid was the last player to score a home league goal for Leicester and he scored at home against Brentford after just 44 seconds while playing for Fulham two seasons ago. Bryan Mbeumo has scored four of his last five Brentford goals away from home, with all four coming after the hour mark. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Leicester have trailed at half-time in seven home league games this season – the most in the division. [/p]
