Leicester vs Fulham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-01-17 15:00.
[p]Ruud van Nistelrooy’s reign as Leicester City manager started with much promise as the Dutchman earned four points from his first two matches in charge, but since then, the Foxes have lost six straight Premier League games to find themselves mired in the relegation zone ahead of the visit of Fulham. [/p]
[p]What will enhance Van Nistelrooy’s worries is that four of those defeats have seen his men fail to score, while five of the losses were by at least two goals, the latest of which was to Crystal Palace (2-0), a result that left the former PSV Eindhoven boss admitting that this was probably “the lowest” he side have felt since he took charge. [/p]
[p]But Leicester may relish facing a Fulham side whose nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions (W3, D6) came to an end on Tuesday courtesy of a 3-2 loss at West Ham United. Having won the last three H2Hs however, the Cottagers should head to the East Midlands confident that they can get back to winning ways on Saturday. [/p]
[p]Fulham also have a superior record at Leicester in the Premier League, losing just one of their five matches in the competition at either Filbert Street or the King Power Stadium (W3, D1), while prior to the West Ham loss, the west Londoners had avoided defeat in five away encounters (W2, D3) – their longest such run in England’s top flight since an eight-game sequence in the 2020/21 season (W2, D6). [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Facundo Buonanotte was arguably Leicester’s key man early in the campaign, with the Brighton & Hove Albion loanee registering a goal and an assist in FA Cup action against Queens Park Rangers earlier this month. After a dip in form in recent weeks, Alex Iwobi shone in the second half at West Ham, grabbing a brace, although only one of his four goalscoring appearances since getting the winner against Leicester in this season’s reverse fixture saw him emerge victorious (D1, L2). [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Ten of Fulham’s last 11 matches have seen both teams on the day find the net. [/p]
