Leicester West Ham prediction 2024-12-03

Leicester vs West Ham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-12-02 20:15.
[p]Spirits around Leicester were lifted during the week with the managerial announcement of Ruud van Nistelrooy, although all he could do was watch on in horror as his new side were thrashed 4-1 by Brentford under caretaker boss Ben Dawson. Defender Connor Coady admitted that the relegation-threatened Foxes are “in a dark place,” so Van Nistelrooy will need to make the most of his short time on the training ground ahead of this first game in charge. [/p]

[p]First on the agenda for the new boss will be ending a rotten run of results in the Premier League (D1, L4) which means Leicester are on a lower points haul than their last relegation season. Whilst Leicester have won just one home league game this term (W1, D2, L3), they do make up one of just five sides who have not failed to score in home league action.[/p]

[p]Also coming into this on the back of a heavy defeat are West Ham United, with boss Julen Lopetegui putting his side’s 5-2 defeat to Arsenal down to some “unlucky” decisions from the referee. Picking up just four of the previous 12 available points (W1, D1, L2) whilst securing a lower points tally than at this stage of three of the last four seasons, it’s unsurprising that Lopetegui remains one of the favourites to be the next manager sacked.[/p]

[p]Those odds may lengthen if the Spaniard can pull off a first set of consecutive away wins for the Hammers since between November-December 2023 following their win at Newcastle. But after conceding an average of two goals per game across their last four visits to the King Power (W1, D1, L2), West Ham may need a strong scoring performance to claim victory. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Facundo Buonanotte already bettered his Premier League scoring tally from last season with his opener over the weekend (G4), while he’s also collected three yellow cards in his last six games. West Ham full-back Emerson travels here after contributing to goals in his last two games (G1, A1), although he failed to beat Leicester in both of his personal league H2Hs (D1, L1). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Leicester have avoided defeat in four of their ten league games when conceding first this season (W1, D3, L6). [/p]
